At the end of season three, we already knew that things in Litchfield Penitentiary were going to change, and, by the looks of the season four trailer, that's just what they've done. Litchfield is no longer the same old place we love to hate.
First and foremost, it's now a for-profit prison, inviting a wave of new inmates, COs, and rules to the campus. With 100 new inmates onsite, the prison seems more cramped and chaotic than ever. Lines are long, common areas are packed, and tensions are high. Piper, now a seasoned Litchfield resident, is starting to feel less safe. Warden Caputo is running short on COs. A SWAT team even shows up.
But the trailer isn't without humor. Taystee has taken on a new role as Caputo's secretary, but still has some things to work out. Cindy lays down some cold, hard political truths. And Poussey has an awkward conversation with Judy King, Litchfield's own Martha Stewart.
Not a whole lot is clear about the upcoming season yet, but one thing is for sure. The Orange is the New Black Netflix release date can't come soon enough. Hurry up, June 17!
