WHO:
King As Slave is an experimental, progressive electro duo, partially based in Brussels, Belgium and Athens, Greece. Panos (vocals, songwriting, guitars, synths) and Paul (drums, synths, arrangements) are old friends in a new project. They also are bandmates in both Panos' band www.panosgourgiotis.com/en and Pocket in Red www.pocketinred.com. The duo is accompanied on stage by Giouli (giouli.com), an exceptional female vocalist.

WHAT/HOW/WHEN:
Panos came up with the idea during the first lockdown of 2020. It was a three-week challenge.
-Week 1: Writing one song per day.
-Week 2: Recording one song per day.
-Week 3: Mixing one song per day.
(an 8th song was added later on)
After Panos mixed what proved to be a rough demo, Paul jumped in. It finally took them a year of rehearsing before they feel confident with the new arrangements. The final mixing and mastering was completed in February 2023.
EXTRAS/THE PROJECT:
King as Slave's live performances are a special experience. They are staged in detail by experimental theatre professionals and are accompanied by conceptual projections and immersive light shows. Essentially, the music acts as a soundtrack that supports the stage action.
