3 Ways to Style a Sequin Blazer
One of my absolute favorite things about the holidays is getting to wear sequins. Let's be honest: Who doesn’t love to get glammed up, old-Hollywood style, dripping in sequins? They are so glamorous and make the ultimate statement at any holiday party. For any of you thinking these gorgeous, sequined garments aren’t practical for everyday wear, think again! Invest in a tailored sequined blazer in a neutral color. This allows you to pair it with multiple items in your wardrobe, making it extremely versatile. Stylize the blazer by scrunching up the sleeves a bit and it’s as simple as that. Here are three different ways I styled this gorgeous sequined number.
1. For the first look, I styled my sequined blazer with some acid wash jeggings and a fun polka dot peplum top. This stunning oxblood color is on trend again this season and of course you can never go wrong with a black ensemble. My burgundy glasses and black scarf complete this look and add a more casual feel. This outfit is very versatile. It could be worn out shopping and transition perfectly for date night.
2. In this next look I threw on some distressed boyfriend jeans and a bright royal blue sweater. I created a messy tuck with the sweater to add some shape around my waist and accessorized with gold jewelry and black booties. Although this look is rather laid back, the sequined blazer is the ideal juxtaposition to keep things interesting. Wear this for a lunch date and pop on some heels for a night out.
3. Lastly, I wore the sequined blazer with a tight leopard midi skirt and a loose gray top tucked in. I love the contrast of the cotton top with the sequins. It gives this look an effortlessly chic feel. I added a pop of color with the lip and stacked on some bracelets to finish off the look. This would be a perfectly polished outfit for work or even to grab drinks with friends.
You see, a sequin blazer is a lot more versatile then you thought. I hate to say it, but I told you so! Investing in a sequined piece that can be worn in so many ways this season is a must.
