Banned for Being Too Big?

Lane Bryant recently brought their new ad for their lingerie line Cacique to ABC and Fox to air during popular prime time shows Dancing With The Stars and American Idol.

Lane Bryant claims ABC would only air the spot during the final moments of their show and that Fox demanded excessive re-edits before relenting when the store threatened to pull their ad buy.

There’s little difference between the look of the Lane Bryant ad and a Victoria’s Secret ad ... except for the size of the models.

The Lane Bryant model is a size sixteen while Victoria’s Secret models are generally a size two. Is this a form of size discrimination? See the banned ad here and tell us what you think!
