The Cross Trend: A Fashionable Spin on a Religious Symbol

When I think of crosses I immediately think of this vintage cross necklace my grandma gave me when I was little. It had been hers as a child, which made it even more special. Although crosses have never been out of style for some of us, they have made a serious come back this year. Lately, as I step into popular stores such as Forever 21, Brandy Melville, and even Nordstrom, I see graphic tees, leggings, and sweaters adorned with crosses. But don’t you worry; cross necklaces are still in the game. From huge chunky layered necklaces to ones on the dainty side, cross necklaces are very on-trend.  Here are some of my favorite cross looks that have been spotted on celebs.

This trend has definitely been an easy one for me to blend into my wardrobe. With my style ranging from bohemian to rocker (with a little girly girl thrown in) making this cross trend work has been a cinch. If you're going for a more Bohemian look, try a flowy, short tank dress layered with a statement cross necklace, floral kimono, and booties. For a more rocker approach, I would definitely go all out and wear cross-printed leggings, a simple black boyfriend tee, combat boots, and silver jewelry. Here is a perfect cross look for all the girly girls out there. You don’t have to sacrifice your personal style to jump on this trend!
