Say Cheese! Tooth Gems Are Making A Cheeky Comeback
Prepare yourself for the comeback of yet another beloved '90s trend. Tooth gems are on their way, and we're welcoming them back with a smile.
You might want to get on top of that dentist appointment you've been avoiding, because the '90s tooth gems are on their way back in a big way.
The cheesy accessory is a simple gem that is attached to the tooth using a special adhesive similar to the one used for braces. And while this is one of those accent pieces that's more often worn one at a time, we've seen multiple gems attached on a set of pearly whites at one time. (Disclaimer: dentists don't recommend DIYing the gem job at home. If you don't do it right, you can seriously damage your tooth's enamel!)
Stars like Halsey and Katy Perry have been seen sporting the accessory over the past couple of years. In 2015, Perry was spotted with a the Nike logo in her mouth, and earlier this year, Halsey Check rocked a gold star on one of her pearly whites!

The current craze over all of our favorite 90s and early 2000s trends shows no signs of slowing down (i.e. crimped hair, Lisa Frank, chokers… the list goes on), and we are stoked to add tooth gems to the list with a smile.
