Bedazzled Scars Are The Most Inclusive Accessory On The Paris Runway

Paris Fashion Week bedazzled scars to remind the world that our perceived "flaws" aren't something to hide.

Glitter and glam are definitely things that we associate with fashion, but the Saint Laurent show that kicked off Paris Fashion Week these two favorite things to a whole new level.

We can't get enough of the inclusive and bold moves that designers are taking on this year's runways, and New York-based makeup artist Kanako Takase is following suit. Takase created faux scars on a select few of the models before the show and "stitched" them shut with Swarovski crystals.

Takase's bedazzled scars not only looked totally glamorous on the Paris Fashion Week runway, but they also continued the conversation on an incredibly important message regarding beauty.

Scars tend to be considered something that many try to cover up. However, by highlighting instead of hiding them, Takase is proving that things society sometimes categorizes as "flaws" can truly be beautiful. *Insert all of the praise hand emojis*
