Kim Kardashian just can’t get a break these days. Just a week after news broke that PETA will be hoisting a billboard of the reality star wrapped in fox fur with a photo of a sad, lonely fox cubs next to it captioned, “Kim: These babies miss their mother. Is she on your back?” West Hollywood has decided to ban sales of fur altogether. Stores that currently have fur items in their inventory—and there are quite a few; this is West Hollywood after all, how else are all those starlets supposed to stay warm?—will have until September 2013 to rid their shops of fur items. If they don’t comply, they will be fined. Of course, Kardashian doesn’t live in West Hollywood, but if the ban catches on, as did the cat-declawing ban a few years ago, and bleeds into other cities, then Kardashian’s supply chain just might get cut off. Unless she starts sporting vintage, which is exempt from the law. (Via Nymag.com)
