I Like My Jeans, Thank You Very Much
Everyday we’re bombarded with images and photos of what “real fashion” should look like. Magazines and television tell us how to dress, how to accessorize, and how we should look even if we’re just running to the store to buy milk.
I’m sorry, but I’m not dressing up to go to the store. If I’m not at work and I’m not going somewhere that requires me to dress up, I’m going to wear my blue jeans, and I don’t care what you think about it. I like my boot cut jeans and I don’t care for the look of skinny jeans, thank you very much. I don’t care if you think my light wash doesn’t look good with the sweater I’m wearing, and I don’t care if you think I should add a pair of cute little colored pumps rather than my worn out Doc Martens. Unless it’s absolutely required of me, I enjoy being comfortable. I happen to like the look of clunky boots and jeans, their comfortable and there practical.
