We can all agree that Jennifer Lawrence is a badass—and we all want to be her. Like The Hunger Games' Katniss, she's not afraid to stand up for what she believes. Our girl crush goes beyond the screen and into her wardrobe. She always seems to surprise us with her undeniable red carpet style. Click through the Oscar winner's most memorable looks.
Black Dior Dress with Green Lace Inset and Ankle Strap Heels
Jennifer's Dior dress combines strong lapels with an intricate green lace design. She knows how to show skin without going overboard, and this is a great example of how she does it. The simple cutout is young and fresh, while the dress is structured and mature. And even though we don't really understand how the dress works, we love it.
Yellow Dior Gown
If the color of this butter cream dress was supposed to evoke memories of simpler times, it did its job. Unfortunately, we're going to need Jennifer to stop dressing like a milkmaid.
Blue Two Piece Outfit
Part of the reason we can't get enough of this outfit is because of how obsessed we are with midi skirts–and we're pretty obsessed. This matching Alexander McQueen look, featuring a vertical pattern resembling bullets, does everything for her figure. It fits like a glove, and we love the cobalt blue. A+, Jennifer!
Black Dior Dress with Mesh Inset
Can we start off by saying how great Jennifer looks whens she's dolled up? Between the deep lipstick, perfect pixie cut, and her diamond-encrusted ear cuff, she's already got our vote for best dressed. The Dior dress–with the daring mesh inset and ample side boob–also caught our eye. Only the fiercest of ladies can pull off a look like this, and we think Jennifer's the perfect person to do it.
Blush Pink Jacket Dress
Her double-breasted pale pink coat is all Jennifer Lawrence needs to steal the show. And paired with cream ankle-strapped heels, this is an outfit worthy of a girl on fire.
Proenza Schouler Black and Yellow Dress
We really think that Jennifer was channeling Katniss when she choose this Proenza Schouler dress. Between the vertical yellow stripe, tarnished hardware detailing, and curved bar earrings, this look screams Hunger Games glam.
White and Bedazzled Dior Dress
Even though this dress earned Jennifer a spot on our fashion fail list, it's memorable. Did she get in a fight with the designer mid-fitting? Did she DIY this dress? We don't know. But, she'll overcome this fashion travesty.
All Black in Dior
The little black dress is a go-to look for all women. Jennifer put a fun twist on this ageless ensemble by adding a silver shiny belt to accentuate her waist and slipping on a pair of funky stilettos.
Sequined Dior Gown and Black Pea Coat
There are not too many people in the world who can pull off a look like this. Covering a feminine, sequined ball gown with a black masculine pea coat is an edgy combination Jennifer pulls off, no problem.
Black and White Dior
As the face of Dior, we would expect Jennifer to wear the designer’s masterpieces pretty regularly. But who knew it was possible to look flawless in every item from Dior’s seasonal collections? Here, Jennifer let her hair down and kept it simple with a black and white gown.
Dior Pants and Lace Crop Top
We haven’t seen a pair of gaucho pants since middle school, and we were pretty happy when they faded out of style. Some trends are fun to bring back to life, but this one needed to stay tucked away with our adolescent memories. Sometimes, even Dior can’t revive old styles.
Sheer Christian Dior Couture
This dress is a prime example that Jennifer Lawrence can pull off pretty much anything, even a dress that is 100 percent see-through. This might be the coolest dress the star has ever worn, or it might be the worst. Either way, we can’t seem to take our eyes off it.
Black and White at the Golden Globes
White ball gowns are normally reserved for one occasion—a wedding—but the black bands here accentuated her curves and transformed the almost wedding gown to a red carpet look. We wonder what this daring star will wear on her actual wedding day.
Skin-tight and Sparkly
It is pretty hard to find the silver lining in this look. The skin tight, bedazzled ensemble is a bit too much to handle. We love how daring Jennifer is when it comes to her red carpet looks, but we think this one should have stayed out of her playbook.
Red Dress on the Red Carpet
Wearing a red dress to a red carpet event is a daring move, but Jennifer managed to keep all eyes on her while dazzling in this elegant Dior Couture gown.
Reflective in Tom Ford
Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all? Jennifer Lawrence looks as sharp as the glass on her dress in this red carpet look. This edgy, sheer number might be our favorite so far.
Covered in Velvet
Blue velvet has never looked so good. This silky, soft Jason Wu gown looks stunning on Lawrence, not to mention comfortable and flattering. We haven’t seen this fabric too often since the ‘90s, but we are happy to have it back.
Dior Jumpsuit
Jumpsuits are very on-trend this season. Jennifer kept things simple in this black piece by Dior and accessorized with a reflective gold belt, hand-held clutch, and soft jewelry. This look is timeless, chic, and will never go out of style.
High Low at the Hunger Games
Embroidered flowers fall down the neckline of this dress in a natural and gorgeous way. The high-low cut adds an edgy element to the otherwise feminine frock. It seems as though Dior and Jennifer are the perfect pair.
French-Inspired in Dior
It appears as though Jennifer was channeling Marie Antoinette when she slipped on this gorgeous, textured dress by Dior. The actress looks like true royalty with the full skirt and conservative neckline. We find it pretty easy to envision the actress nibbling on macaroons in the French countryside, and we really want to join her.
Plunging in Prada
Jennifer’s Prada gown combines soft, draped fabric with sexy jewels and a plunging neckline. The lines of the dress and sparkling features make the actress look like a modern Grecian goddess, and who wouldn’t want that?
Floral in Dior
This body-hugging gown has a neckline we can’t keep our eyes off. The floral, textured patterns and unique cutouts are flirty and perfectly balanced with the simple black bottom. Jennifer has a happy, cheerful glow which leads us to think she loved this funky gown just as much as we do.
