Score Meghan Markle’s Favorite Designer Bag for Less with These Dupes Under $100

Want to copy the Duchess’ favorite accessory without breaking the bank? Steal the look with these affordable alternatives of the Chloé Small Pixie Bag.

By now you’re probably all too familiar with the Markle effect. Like sister-in-law Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle is known to cause shopping frenzies whenever she steps out for a royal engagement — breaking brand sales and crashing sites.

Perhaps one of the best examples of the Duchess of Sussex’s buying power is her pair of eco-friendly kicks from Veja. According to Lyst, after being spotted wearing the casual sneaker (currently available on Nordstrom) on tour in Australia, the French brand saw a 113 percent increase in online searches. Not to mention the sustainable footwear line, also loved by actresses Emma Watson and Chloe Grace Moretz, earned the title of Instagram’s most in-demand brand with a 187 percent surge in mentions and tags on the social platform.

While royal fanatics are always on the lookout for next trend-setting piece to steal from the former Suits star, some are still obsessing over the trendy circle bag the soon-to-be mom wore in 2017. Months before walking down the aisle, Markle turned heads with her accessory choice when she joined the royal family at the Christmas Day church service in Sandringham, Norfolk. Sticking to her neutral palette, the Duchess paired the infamous Chloé Small Pixie Bag with a Sentaler wrap coat and over-the-knee boots from Stuart Weitzman.

Fresh off the Fall ’17 runway, this camel-colored designer bag beautifully mixed leather and suede with gold-toned hardware for a unique rustic effect. Instead of rocking the round accessory with its detachable leather straps, the Cali-born actress opted to used the two metal bracelets that are equipped to turn the bag into a wristlet. While the clutch/shoulder hybrid wasn’t your average carryall bag like Markle’s favorite Everlane tote, the geometric piece was spacious enough to comfortably fit your smartphone and few beauty essentials for your mid-day touch up.

Of course, the Duchess wasn’t the only one who was a huge fan of this dreamy circular piece. Fashion influencer Aimee Song, better known as Song of Style on social media, was also spotted wearing the bag in the burgundy shade during New York Fashion Week.

While the Chloé handbag originally rang in at a whopping $1500 (or in our case, the equivalence of one month’s rent), this royally-approved bag is no longer available for purchase. Despite being sold out, you can still shop the Duchess’ covetable handbag for a fraction of the cost with these budget-friendly lookalikes — including an near-exact replica from Amazon for under $100.
