Meghan Markle Slayed A Tuxedo Dress, So It’s Time To Trade In Your LBD
The duchess is showing us all about the new, modern cocktail dress, and now we need one of our own.
Our current style icon is at it again, making waves in the fashion world and showing us how it's done. Meghan Markle rocked a tuxedo dress while attending a special performance of Hamilton in the West End to raise money for her husband's, Prince Harry's, charity Sentebale (goals, goals, and goals). Excuse us, we're currently swapping out all of our LBDs for this style now.
Think of a tuxedo dress as an upscale blazer dress. Where you could probably wear a blazer dress to the office and then out for drinks (maybe slide a cami under there), the tuxedo dress cranks it up a few fancy notches so you could wear it to a fall or winter wedding, cocktail party, or any event that calls for your go-to little black dress. It's also a cousin of Meghan and Kylie Jenner's trench dress, a often belted style that the celebrities have been spotted in recently.
Meghan Markle looked effortlessly chic in her $595 black tuxedo dress by Judith & Charles, and while we may be jealous of the couple getting to see Hamilton for the second time, we don't have to be jealous of her style because we found seven tuxedo dresses to get that look (and you won't even have to splurge).
