This Is The Celeb Shoe Trend You Need To Steal From Coachella
Everyone from Gigi Hadid to Hailey Baldwin to
Ariel Winter were slaying the fabulous footwear.
Everyone knows that sandals aren’t the best idea for Coachella fashion—the dirt! People stepping on your toes! And while we spotted chic sneakers, cowboy boots, and of course, fringe boots across the desert this year, there was one new celebrity shoe trend that stood out: white combat boots.
And we are in love.
The heavy, edgy shoe gets a fresh overhaul in a bright white, making it perfect for festival season, and really just perfect for all of us who want to stay comfortable in the spring and into the summer. At least, that’s what celebs like Gigi Hadid, Hailey Baldwin, Ariel Winter, and Victoria’s Secret models Romee Strijd and Shanina Shaik think.
Hailey Baldwin rocked the Levi’s Coachella party in a custom white lace bustier by Danielle Guizio and color-matching white combat boots—eschewing the traditional lace-up for strap closures. Think: A little bit naughty but super nice.
Bella Hadid, who wore white sneakers to the same party, has already proven that she’s into the white combat boot trend. Always ahead of the game, Bella was strutting around New York back in January wearing Burberry’s version of the white combat boot.
Speaking of the Hadids, Bella’s sister Gigi also joined in on the shoe trend at Coachella with a softer version of the combat boot.
Like Baldwin, Modern Family’s Ariel Winter juxtaposed a lacy, white bralette with edgy white combat boots, this time with a black sole. Romee Strijd too paired a lace with combat shoes, opting for a black lace bodysuit and un-laced black and white combat boots.
Also loving the unlaced look—don’t trip!—was Romee’s fellow Victoria’s Secret model Shanina Shaik, who paired her combat boots with a button-front, gauzy white dress.
Clearly this is one shoe trend that is going to only get bigger as the season goes on. Get the celebrity Coachella look yourself with one of our picks for trendy white combat boots.
You can’t go wrong with Dr. Martens when you’re looking for combat boots, as celebs have definitely proven this year. We love this white-out pair that feels softer for spring and summer. However, if you want that classic gum sole and some edgier black laces, by all means, we have those 1460 Dr. Martens too.
For the budget-conscious, these Doc dupes definitely do the trick. We love the chunky black sole that adds a real edge to spring style.
You get a little bit of both worlds in these Jeffrey Campbell combat boots: the white-out top with white laces and the black chunky soles. Pair with a super sweet or rock-n-roll outfit to play up either the angel or devil on your shoulder.
