NYFW Street Style Stars Whose Looks We Love
New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2018 is in full swing, and some of the best looks are off the runway. These NYFW street style looks have us dreaming about how we can slay our days this season.
Metallics are making a huge comeback this season, and Margaret Zhang is taking that trend to another level. Those silver pants are perfect to pair with a subdued top and accessories to let them do all of the talking. The layering is the real key to this NYFW street style moment.
Camila Coelho has us blushing with in these corduroy overalls with button details. Overalls are one of our favorite trends to help transition into the fall months, and the flawless pairing with a sleeveless turtleneck makes it truly NYFW-worthy.
Camila has done it again! This amazing look on Coelho is the perfect demonstration of why we love to mix and match prints and textures. The central lace panels and spread out details add a bit of seduction to the variously sized polka dot prints. She tops it all off with a Louis Vuitton miniature briefcase and a dark pair of circle shades for a cool street style look.
We’ve said it before, and Rocky Barnes is only taking the proof even further: Do not put away your white after Labor Day. The supermodel balances oversized, split-leg trousers with an embroidered bralette and a fitted jacket to stand out on the street in style.
Blogger Louise Cooney makes it known with this ensemble that bright, bold reds are one of fall’s biggest fashion trends. We’re loving the allover look balanced out with a chain-detailed hand bag.
It turns out that fanny packs can be both functional and fashionable, as proven in this look on blogger Caroline Daur. The retro sunglasses and menswear-inspired blazer give us some serious ’90s chic vibes, so the belt-inspired fanny pack tops it all of seamlessly.
Cipriana Quann & TK Wonder
Everything about twins Cipriana Quann and TK Wonder’s NYFW street style outfits is fashion #goals. Both of these styles prove that a look is only as great as the accessories it is paired with this season. From their oversized sunnies and bold shoes to editor/writer Quann’s bright yellow jacket and singer/songwriter TK Wonder’s printed hair bandana, accessorizing is all the runway rage.
Vlogger Jacey Duprie balances out a high neckline with a short hemline to keep her look sophisticated on the way to New York Fashion Week. Embellishments and bold accessories are huge both on and off the runway, and the oversized bowtie with the diamond details fits the trend flawlessly. Plus, she finishes off the look with chunky white sneakers, looking even more like a street style maven.
We’re all about refreshing our day-to-day denim looks, and interior designer and fashion blogger Aimee Song obviously stands behind us on that. By taking two of our favorite trends of the moment—an off-the-shoulder top and revamped denim—she created a street style look worthy of the runway.
A huge trend on the runway at NYFW is ’70s vibe prints. “Blame It on Barney’s” blogger Lauren Letizio went all out in this high neckline dress, and we love the fall earth-tone colors peeking through the pattern. Letizio paired it with some strappy, calf-high sandals and a gold-handle hand bag for a perfect runway-to-street look.
Photographer Tessa Barton rocked the ’80s vibes during NYFW with a bright, monotone look, broken up by a dark, striped undershirt, some oversized geek chic glasses, and a cute, fuzzy keychain to add some playfulness. Bold reds and oversized glasses definitely should be added to your collection this season, and Barton’s cool girl look shows exactly why. (P.S. Peep that popular fanny pack!)
Another stunning look from Daur! The elegance and ease of this red midi dress is what caught our eyes first. And the white pointed loafers she flawlessly pairs with it prove that this versatile shoe style is one that needs to be added to your wardrobe, and her oversized aviators give it a bit of a more laidback style.
Street style or office ready? This chic ensemble on chef and author Tess Ward is one we would love to wear everyday if we could. This pleather skirt is evidence that high-waisted cuts aren’t (and shouldn’t!) going anywhere anytime soon. Her ankle-wrap heels and burnt orange sweater show that these Halloween colors are anything but scary when styled right.
The women-in-menswear style is here to stay, and German fashion blogger Nina Suess knows how to rock it. Sporting pinstripe trousers and a bold striped sweater vest on the streets of NYC, Nina means business. She finished off her look with cheetah print slide-on sandals and a Furla bag from our dreams.
Fashion blogger Kayla Seah knows it’s all about the details when strutting her stuff at NYFW, and this balance between simple casual wear on top and bold formal wear on bottom has us absolutely hooked. Also, can we please have a pair of those black and white checkered mules by Altuzarra in our closet ASAP? Thanks!
Sophie and Charlotte Bickley
Fashion’s favorite up-and-coming sister duo is making a major statement at NYFW, and it’s as if they can do no wrong. Wearing contrasting prints that go together like yin and yang, these girls know how to take a fashion risk. Platform shoes paired with bomber jackets and florals? We’re drooling!
