As you should all be well aware, Target’s in-house brand Who What Wear has been nailing trends and designer details at a low cost. Well its latest spring collection dropped (so did our jaws), and we are dying over the ruffles, gingham, and pops of color. We’re showing you our favorite pieces from out latest Target run and how to style them for maximum fashion points.
1. Pop Of Color (And Print!)
Inclusivity is key with Target’s in-house clothing brands and it’s a major part of why we love the Who What Wear line. All pieces come in size XS to 4X, which is awesome because every size is going to want this look! The vertical light stripes on this paper bag, crop pant are a refreshing take on white pants for spring. We paired them with a gingham bag for some fun pattern play, sleek heeled white mules for added height, and a ruffle sleeved poppy red top that gives a romantic finish to these polished pieces.
2. Modern Rosie The Riveter Utility Jumpsuit
One spring trend that everyone has been reporting on, without a doubt, is the utility jumpsuit. They were all over the runways from Valentino to Stella McCartney, and countless fashion bloggers were strutting in the streets in these boxy, belted onesies. So when Who What Wear came out with this pink, belted jumpsuit, it was a no-brainer as we tossed it in our cart. This utility jumpsuit is brilliantly designed with a softer pink hue and bow-belted waist to soften the masculine shape. We paired it with these translucent feminine heels for a girly touch but feel free to swap them for sneakers and go tomboy chic.
3. All About Angles
Buying “work clothes” sounds boring. We prefer to think of having a curated mix of clothing in our closet that can be professional for work without giving up our personal style. This asymmetrical hem dress with contrasting diagonal stripes is a stand-out that means business. It’s work-appropriate length, without falling into a bland or boring category. And to top it off, the neckline ties back into a stunning bow closure. Add in these grey, tweed, ankle strap sandals and polished crossbody bag for an impressive office outfit.
4. Laid-Back Ruffles
Take your love of ruffles to new places in this casual-chic date night outfit. These extra ladylike red microsuede mules could work for a more formal event, but try giving them some edge with this pair of retro, embroidered, cropped jeans and an effortless ruffled black t-shirt. Pull your hair back with this rose-printed headwrap to top off the look, and you’re ready for a night out with bae.
5. Playful Patterns
Mixing patterns at first sounds intimidating—it’s a fragile balancing act that can either go wonderfully right or oh so wrong. The biggest key to executing two patterns at once is pairing a louder pattern with a more subdued, neutral pattern. This gingham smocked skirt is a perfect neutral pattern backdrop for the “louder” floral top. We brought out the yellow in the flower print with knotted slide sandals and brought in this double stitched tote to carry all your things.
6. Timeless Classics
You can never have too many black pieces, right? This midi (or maxi depending on your height) dress is sleek, stylish and can be worn numerous ways. For our look today, we went with a denim jacket with a tie detailed neckline, slingback, pointed toe flats, and a refined earth-tone bag. These pieces look amazing all together or worn with a variety of outfits in your closet. We love this look and think it would be ideal for a weekend brunch with friends or hitting up the local farmers’ market.
