How to Wear a Maxi Skirt

Maxi skirts are my go-to piece in the summertime. They're light, flattering and can easily be transitioned from day to night. For a daytime look, I would pair a maxi with a silk tank, printed chambray button up, hat, oversized sunnies, side bag, a fun geometric necklace and Converse. This outfit is perfect for school, running errands and lunch with the girls.

Transitioning a maxi skirt to a nighttime look is a cinch with a few basic pieces. I swapped my chambray top for a bright-colored blazer, tied my hair up into a chic top knot, added a chunky statement necklace, and switched my Converse for some basic black and metallic sandals. This is a classy, put-together outfit for a date night or drinks with friends.

Don’t be afraid to get creative when wearing maxi skirts. Try pairing one with a graphic print tank or a printed blazer for a fun twist on this classic look.
