Trendsetters of the Week: 4/11/2016
Lately, award shows have given us a lot to talk about. Celebs never cease to surprise us with their red carpet appearances, which is why we tune in hours before the actual event. While there were some questionable outfit choices worn by trendsetters, we compiled the looks we thought deserved the most praise.

When actress Lea Michele showed up to the 7th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, she glowed like an actual angel. Instead of standing out in a vibrant color, Michele opted for an all-white look with a delicate floral lace design. The Elie Saab dress had a plunging neckline and cinched waist, which drew attention to her slimming frame. The trendsetter's sleek middle part and natural makeup really balanced out the patterned dress.

Singer Carrie Underwood shined (literally) at the Academy of Country Music Awards April 3. The Davidson Zanine gown had a Gatsby vibe to it, while the sheer skirt and chest modernized the look. We also think Underwood channeled her inner mermaid-goddess in the golden number's shell-inspired top.
Lauren Conrad has always been a style star in our eyes, and this look proved our point. March 29, the author talked about her new book, "Celebrate", on Good Day New York. She was seen leaving the talk show wearing a scalloped A.L.C. top and wide leg Alice + Olivia trousers. Her tan-grey overcoat, black bucket bag and white-and-black Urban Outfitters sunglasses make the look very matchy-matchy, but we're okay with it.
And the winner of the week is Selena Gomez. The singer exuded confidence at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in a bright orange jumpsuit. The Mugler jumpsuit had cutout slits on the asymmetrical waist, showing off the actress' toned stomach. The daring piece was tamed down just the right amount with a high neck and slim pants. Gomez layered chokers as her accessory, looking like the coolest rocker chick around.
