When I think of socks with heels I can't help but flashback to elementary school when every girl loved to pair lacy cuffed ankle socks with white sandals. Well, it's baaaaaack. This winter fashion trend has been spotted on the style darlings as well as in the blogosphere. Here are some prime examples of how wearing socks with heels can be completely cool.

First up, me! I decided to go out of my comfort zone and try out this sock trend. That's me on the left, wearing thin black socks with my animal-print booties for a completely new look. I love how the black slenderizes the ankle area and makes for a very flattering shape. 

Next is the gorgeous Caitlin from A Little Dash of Darling. Caitlin's layered look is totally on point. I mean what's better than a little sequins, stripes and spots? She took the height of the heel down to make this look more casual next to her glam top. I love the combination and juxtaposition of all the elements in this fab look. Meg from Styled Avenue can do no wrong! I love how she's wearing a soft patterned sock with pointy-toe booties. You really can't go wrong with a simple black bootie: It's a winter fashion wardrobe staple. Meg layered on the necklaces to grunge up a rather sophisticated look.
