Joe Biden's Daughter Has A New Clothing Line That's Making The World A Better Place

By parterning with e-commerce site Gilt, Ashley Biden's "Livelihood" clothing line is giving back to American communities in need.

Even if you weren't a fan of the former president, himself, the internet seemed to continuously fangirl over Barack Obama and VP Joe Biden's bromance and the day-making memes that came along with it. And while we love all the positivity the duo brought to the White House, it turns out that Biden's daughter Ashley continues to follow in the philanthropic attitudes of her dad.

Ashley Biden has officially launched an American-made clothing brand called Livelihood that donates proceeds to American communities in need, and how inpsiring is that?

As a social worker in Delaware, Ashley Biden had a front-row seat to the lack of resources in communities, so she partnered with the e-commerce site Gilt to create an interactive website that will feature not only the apparel but will discuss policy reforms and the importance of getting involved in these kinds of efforts on a local level.

"Livelidhood is about celebrating the resiliency in under-served communities (the artists, the entrepreneurs, and the innovators,) supporting them as they work to advance social and economic justice," she stated on Livelihood's website

At the Livelihood launch in NYC last week, Joe Biden made his first public appearance as former VP and gave a heartfelt statement regarding his daughter's efforts.

"My daughter Ashley's commitment to public service, her commitment to trying to change the world for the better, is more intense than even mine has been," he said.

Actress and friend of Ashley Biden Aubrey Plaza is joining alongside the cause, too.

"Ashley and I both talked about our love for Wilmington and for Delaware," Plaza stated on their website. "I told her how some of the community programs in Wilmington influenced me as a child and helped me get to where I am today."

The 100 percent American-made apparel includes men's, women's, and kid's hoodies ranging from $79 to $99.
