This Woman's Boob Pic Could Save Your Life

Lisa Royle never thought she'd post a boob picture on Facebook, but we're sure glad she did.

You may think you know the signs of breast cancer—internal lumps, swelling, discharge—but they're not always that clear. They weren't for Lisa Royle. So, the week before her mastectomy, Lisa shared this photo of her breast on Facebook to make sure other women knew what to look for. The dimples on the underside of her breast aren't very noticeable, but they're still significant indicators for breast cancer. The post went viral, and she was promptly flooded with well wishes and survivor stories. Today, her post has over 40,000 likes and 70,000 shares.

She writes, "I never thought I'd post a boob picture on Facebook, but I thought I would before it gets chopped off next week. This is all I found on my boob. Very subtle dimples underneath that could easily be missed when we're all rushing around getting ready in a morning."

Ok so I never thought I'd post a boob picture on Facebook but I thought I would before it gets chopped off next week....

On May 18, Lisa got out of surgery and is doing really well according to Craig Royle. She's "bit groggy from the morphine but in good spirits and should be home later this evening," he adds, "The support has blown us away so a massive thanks to u all xx." She can rest easy, knowing her boob pic educated thousands of people and maybe even saved a life.
