21 of the Sexiest World Leaders You Should Know
by Rachel Weeks
While we may be dealing with four more years of seeing President Trump’s orange face, there is still hope for the leadership of the world. We scoured the globe to find 21 sexy world leaders you should definitely check out. Who knows, maybe you’ll become a foreign policy buff?
Who can resist a British accent? Serving from 2010 to 2016, 50-year-old David Cameron may not be the best British Prime Minister in recent history—the Brexit referendum didn’t go exactly as planned—but those baby blue eyes will always have a special place in our hearts.
Prime Minister from 2008 to 2012, President from 2012 to present, Borut Pahor, 53, is a fixture of Slovenian politics and in our hearts. I mean, just look at that smile. While the Presidency is largely a ceremonial position in Slovenia, at least Pahor looks great in photos.
Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, 62, has been struggling to keep his approval ratings up since taking office in 2015. His controversial proposed lifetime ban on foreign refugees may not be popular in Australia, we bet he’s still popular with the ladies! Talk about a silver fox.
Enrique Peña Nieto
Enrique Peña Nieto—and his handsome mug—has served as the President of Mexico since 2012, and his approval rating have definitely been better. The 50-year-old recently referred to United States’ presidential candidate as “La Señora Hillary Trump,” but at least he knows there is no way that Mexico is paying for a wall.
Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner
While Argentinian beauty Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner has been at the center of a number of corruption scandals, the Former-President of Argentina and her husband Néstor Kirchner—also a former-President—make a handsome couple.
Enjoy him while he’s here, people! Barack Obama won’t be President of the United States much longer, and Donald Trump is no match for this suave, basketball-playing Hawaiian. When can we expect Michelle to run for president? 2024? 2020? Tomorrow?
King Felipe VI
There’s just something about a foreign man in uniform, also kings. King Felipe VI of Spain is the fourth youngest reigning monarch in the world at only 48 years old. He assumed the position in 2014 after the abdication of his father, King Juan Carlos I, who didn’t look bad at his coronation either. Did we mention that Felipe is 6’6″?
Is it just us or does the Prime Minister of Greece have a Mark Ruffalo look about him? At only 42-years-old, Alexis Tsipras’s position as an effective left-wing Greek Prime Minister has been shakey since his miraculous election in 2015, but he is an undeniably charismatic speaker with undeniably great hair.
While Rafael Correa is a controversial figure globally—especially in the United States—the President of Ecuador is beloved by his people, serving from 2007 to present. The 53-year-old democratic socialist is a devout Roman Catholic and a serious hottie, if you’re into the smirky, swarthy type.
Hamdan bin Mohammed al Maktoum
The 33-year-old Sheikh of Dubai, Hamdan bin Mohammed al Maktoum, is both a crown prince and a serious looker. In addition to owning a fleet of expensive cars, Sheikh Hamdan also rides horses, skydives, and writes poetry—largely romantic or patriotic—under the name Faz’za.
Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan is gorgeous by any beauty standard, but she definitely sticks out in the political scene. And with all her advocacy work in education, health, and community empowerment, she isn’t just a trophy wife either. Plus, her husband King Abdullah II is no slouch. He’s beloved internationally and known for maintaining stability in Jordan during a trying time in history.
Elected in 2007 at only 45 years old, former Ukranian leader Yulia Tymoshenko is certainly one of the hottest prime ministers in recent history. She’s known for her iconic, blonde crown braid and embezzlement convictions for which she was temporarily imprisoned. But the charges were later overturned after suspicions arose that the convictions were politically motivated.
Mark Rutte has been the Prime Minister of the Netherlands since 2010, when he became the first liberal Norwegian Prime Minister in nearly 100 years. He’s also the second youngest Prime Minister at only 49 years of age. He has kind of a Jake Lacy look about him, which we love. Plus, he’s single!
The 29-year-old Prince of Monaco is the younger son of the Princess of Hanover, Caroline and seventh in line to the thrown. Known for his fast and furious lifestyle, Pierre Casiraghi is a playboy of sorts—racing vintage cars, dating fashion models, and getting in fights at night club—but he settled down in 2015 with journalist Beatrice Borromeo.
While Canadian elections aren’t usually at the forefront of the news, Justin Trudeau’s certainly was. The current Prime Minister of Canada is an avid boxer and bunjee jumper who even did a charitable—and public—strip tease to “What a Girl Wants.” The 44-year-old hunk sounds more like a Bachelor candidate than a Prime Minister, but his approval ratings are higher than most politicians.
Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck
At only 36, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck is the reigning Druk Gyalpo or “Dragon King” of Bhutan, making him one of the three youngest monarchs in the world. Despite his young age, the King is beloved domestically and abroad and we can see why. That’s one handsome king.
Prince Amedeo of Belgium, Archduke of Austria-Este
Prince Amedeo of Belgium looks like he’s the prince of Belgium. While he’s sixth in line for the throne, His Imperial and Royal Highness’s dark curly locks and a wide smile are first in line to our hearts.
Prince Harry of Wales
While the royal family prefer that Prince Harry be known for his love of sports—Harry participates in polo, skiing, and motocross—he’s best known for his “wild child” tabloid appearances that range from drinking to getting in fights with papparazzi to being photographed naked. Good thing he has that adorable British charm!
Whether you prefer him with a mustache or without, Joseph Kabila is one smokin’ hot president. He has held the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo position for 15 years and was due to step down at the end of 2016, but civil unrest in the Congo has led to a delay on elections until 2018.
Both the youngest and first female President of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic was elected to her position in 2015 when she was only 46. The busty blonde, Grabar-Kitarovic may not be your first idea of what a president looks like, but her approval ratings say otherwise. She’s the most popular Croatian president since the first multi-party election in 1990.
Beninese businessman and politician Patrice Talon has only held the presidency a very short time but he has big plans for the future of Benin, including limiting presidential power and terms to five years. Restrictions like this are rarely put in place in Africa. Besides being a proactive politician, the 58-year-old is undeniably foxy.
Lee Hsien Loong
While Lee Hsien Loong’s career has not been without its controversies, he has maintained his position as the Prime Minister of Singapore since 2004. The 64-year-old politician has been accused of nepotism—his father was Singapore’s first Prime Minister—and has been criticized for his outrageous $2 million salary, but he remains in office today. Maybe it has something to do with his infectious smile?
