A few months ago, I decided to have a very important talk with my four year old son. Since he is fully potty trained and can now bath himself with supervision, I felt that there was no real need for anyone to touch his person anymore. I explained to him that nobody was allowed to touch his “pee pee” because that was his body and only he had authority to hold his pee pee. (With the exception of the doctor.) Not mommy or daddy or aunty or granny or grand daddy. Not anybody.
I could tell by the silence that my son’s mind was spinning a question. And then without hesitation he asked with great concern.
“HEY! WHAT’S WRONG WITH MY ‘PEE PEE?’”
