Never Lose Your Sense of Wonder

Never Lose Your Sense of Wonder

I love this song by LeAnn Womack. If there is one thing I would like to pass on to my little one it is this song and it’s meaning:

“I hope you never lose your sense of wonder,
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger,
May you never take one single breath for granted,
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed,
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you’ll give fate a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.
I hope you dance.
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance,
Never settle for the path of least resistance.
Livin’ might mean takin’ chances, but they’re worth takin’,
Lovin’ might be a mistake but it’s worth makin’,
Don’t let some hell bent heart leave you bitter,
When you come close to sellin’ out reconsider,
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.
I hope you dance!”

Nothing is more important in this world than to keep trying. I don’t have the perfect life as defined by society and I haven’t taken the easiest path either. The one thing that has kept me going is my pursuit of happiness.

In life, I have found that to be successful you need to find an inner strength.

Instead of looking at obstacles as the end of the road, it takes an open mind and a willingness to try anyway. The courage I have used to pick myself up when life got hard is the source of my happiness today. When you are able to find that inner strength, nothing will keep you down. Every moment that is not perfect will be fleeting, and all the great ones will be the ones that last. So DANCE!
