It came as a surprise. I was so used to seeing huge numbers on the weighing scale that I had to double check if I saw the numbers right. Ten days had passed after I gave birth and I was astonished to see all that weight just go. I weighed 160 pounds on the day I gave birth. I set no expectations for myself to shed all 25 pounds that I gained. And now, looking at the number 140 on our digital scale was amazing!
How did this ever happen so fast? Okay, so maybe the baby, placenta, amniotic fluid, and all that weighed at least 10 to 15 pounds. Plus, the sleepless nights and breastfeeding … hmm, maybe that accounted for the 5 pounds. It’s quite amazing how these things just fall into place. After the nine months of transformation—getting bigger and bigger with each passing day getting darker and darker—I was not prepared to slowly transform into my old attractive self. Hahahahaha!
