The Power of a Reliable Income, Part 2

“The only lifelong, reliable motivations are those that come from within, and one of the strongest of those is the joy and pride that grow from knowing that you’ve just done something as well as you can do it.” —Lloyd Dobens

Last week I posted about the power of a reliable income and what a reliable income means. This week I wanted to discuss how families can receive a reliable income, and what options there are.

A reliable income is an income that you can count on being there month after month. An example might be a rental property that has a signed lease; you can count on that income coming in for a certain time frame. It might be a product that you make, like a craft that a store has agreed to sell and has contracted a certain amount of your product. Or it may be a service that you provide through a referral, affiliate, or associate program.

Each of the above options would provide you with a reliable income. For most families in today’s economy, buying a second home to rent out is not financially doable. Also, not everyone has been gifted with talents to manufacture items such as crafts. But with today’s technology, most individuals are tech savvy, leading to the third option stated above. You can earn a very reliable income through affiliate programs using your home computer.

Whatever option you decide upon, make sure it’s something you enjoy and find value in! If you enjoy what you do, you’re likely to be very successful!
